Seinajoki Race in Finland is a prepare for the Elitloppet at the end of May. In this field we can find interests and chances to actually start in Elitloppet in Pastore Bob, Dreammoko and Elian Web.
My favourite in this race is Dreammoko. He transferred to Wim Paal after his last race in France, where he raced against the incredible Aubrion du Gers and finished fourth. Dreammoko has shown in the past he loves the Scandinavian tracks (second in Elitloppet heat, fourth in final. Winner silver division against Diamanten and MakeTheMark. In Finland he’s raced at Kouvola, where he finished third behind his dad Timoko). His form in France has had some questionmarks lately but a new trainer and the flat tracks in Scandinavia should make all the difference. Has incredible gate and finish speed which means he can handle multiple kind of races. Got the perfect number here.
On Track Piraten may be the old man of the field but is in great shape. In his last eleven races he has not finished out of first four. Can struggle when the race is fast, when facing younger horses, most of the time he can not give an answer in the last stretch. Horse with a mind for the game and never gives up the fight. Even though he faces some talented, young horses in this race he should he able to compete, again, for first four. Number nine is a disadvantage but should not be impossible for the Kool de Caux son.
Pastore Bob is an absolute beast over 1609m, as one of the fastest starters behind the gate he can make the difference quite early on. Has not reached his level of last year before the Elitloppet but Untersteiner is a trainer who specializes in getting his horses in top-notch shape when needed. Pastore Bob struggled a lot in his last race and it will be interesting to see if he’ll be wearing shoes or not. When facing fast horses over 2100m he might struggle. Interesting horse for top four.
Ranch Kelly wowed us all at Vincennes last year when she ran a blaster of a race, running 1’10’1 / 2100m. Is now too old to race in France and has been transferred back to Finland. Has raced four times this year in Finland and didn’t let her fans down. Ranch Kelly her results starting with the most recent: 2211. Of course against another league so it’s hard to compare and hard to say how her shape really will be this Saturday. In France she could not impress anymore after her incredible win at Vincennes. Leaving room for the unknown here. When Ranch Kelly is in great shape she can surprise everyone.
Elian Web won at Bergsäker 23/02 but could not do the same at Solvalla 30/3 when he faced some horses that will participate in this race either. Surprised us all with an Elitloppet invite last year and could do the same this year. Elian Web is trying his way into the elite but seems to be struggling, is fast and his results are quite consistent. Lost the drawing here with number eight, will not be easy but we can trust Jorma Kontio he’ll do everything to get the best result possible.
The italian horse, Trendy OK: fast but unreliable. She can win one race to finish eight in the next race. Travels back to Scandinavia after an Italian/French tour this winter. (Her last race in Scandinavia was at Solvalla 14/08/2018). Raced against the best of the best last year in different races and managed to finish quite well and get good results. Number five will be fine.
Interesting outsiders here are Selmer I.H, who won the Breeders Crown for four years old at Eskilstuna last year (beating Perfect Spirit), he made his comeback 21/03 and 31/03 but has not really impressed since. Number also a disadvantage and has not raced against horses like this before. Also Chief Orlando and Atupem can surprise here (at least with a top four placing), have both been in great shape lately but race in a whole different league, numbers behind the gate should be in their advantage.

Dreammoko wins silver division
